DownloadDrivers for Basic OperationBecause the Adaptoid is a standard Human Interface Device Joystick adaptor, it does not require any special drivers to operate. You can install it using the drivers that come with your operating system. When installing with this method, all of the Adaptoid's features are avaliable except for the Rumble Pak, Memory Pack, and Configurator features. When using Mac OS Classic, you must have version 1.7.3 or higher of Apple's InputSprocket driver. This is supplied with Mac OS 9, however, it is not present in Mac OS 8.6 or lower. You may also want to look at USB Overdrive. It isn't required, but it has lots of useful features. Rumble, Memory Pack & Key Mapper DriverThis driver will enable the Rumble Pak and Memory Pak features of the Adaptoid, and includes the Configurator for mapping controls to key presses or mouse movements. If you have a Rumble Pak inserted in the N64 controller while you are playing a PC game that has DirectX force feedback, it will rumble to the game's force feedback commands. The driver also extends your computer's file system to allow access to game saves stored in a N64 Memory Pak. To transfer game saves to and from a Memory Pak, you just open up an explorer window and drag & drop the game saves from the special Adaptoid folder. You can also open up the Adaptoid folder from the Adaptoid icon which will appear in the "My Computer" folder. The latest driver is 2.0.1 which includes the Adaptoid Configurator, a Keyboard and Mouse mapping utility. The keyboard and mouse support has been completely reworked to provide much better compatibility with modern games. This driver is for Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP. See the readme file for details on what's new in this version.
